  • Position Summary

    As a result of continued growth, Avineon, Inc. is actively seeking motivated, high-energy Director of Engineering to manage our Engineering Support Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling and delivering engineering support services to North American electric utility and oil/gas industry customers with a focus on plant engineering services. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of industrial plant engineering services and sales processes and will be responsible for prospecting, identifying, and securing business opportunities to support revenue growth.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Identify and close business opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships, and lead proposal development efforts.
    • Create sales strategies and execute account plans in support of goals/objectives.
    • Manage delivery of engineering support services from Avineon’s India offices to North American customers.
    • Grow Avineon’s North American engineering support services business with an objective of hiring at least three to five support staff in the U.S.

    Education - Experience & Skills Required

    • BS degree in Engineering with an additional qualification, preferably in a business, marketing, or a technology field. (Successful work related experience in a plant design and engineering services company may substitute.)
    • A thorough understanding of plant design and engineering tools and services, sales processes, and will be responsible for prospecting, identifying, and securing business opportunities to support revenue growth.
    • Technical understanding of plant design tools and services for process and power industry.
    • Minimum of five years proven executive or director level management experience with a focus on plant engineering services or related software products.
    • Self-motivated leader who exhibits sense of urgency in all sales and service related activity and can motivate a sales team.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills.
    • Ability to establish and build relationships quickly with all levels of management.
    • Willingness to travel is required for this position.
