  • Position Summary

    Avineon is seeking a Technical Writer in support of a SharePoint development and maintenance project. The ideal candidate will develop, draft, revise, and edit technical documentation in support of SharePoint portal users and administrators.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Edit, format, and enhance existing SharePoint documentation.
    • Interpret information obtained through research or provided in meetings by technical specialists to develop SharePoint outlines and documentation.
    • Apply knowledge of project documentation content and format standards to prepare, edit, and publish technical manuals.
    • Collect, develop modify, prepare, and/or validate documentation working with SharePoint subject matter experts.

    Education - Experience & Skills Required

    • A minimum of four years of experience performing the foregoing technical writing functions in technical documentation including the ability to define, coordinate, and implement program documentation in a classified environment.
    • Experience with IT service management processes and CMMI desired.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint. Must be willing to work in a team environment and be able to document and transcribe meetings. 
    • Must have excellent organization skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline. Degree is required.

    Clearance:

    • IRS clearance is preferred.
