  • Position Summary

    Avineon is seeking a Network Engineer to add to our team. The ideal candidate will need to perform a variety of network engineering tasks, including switch/router configuration, providing engineering solutions for network connectivity, firewall management, network proactive monitoring, and documentation.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Configure and deploy network equipment.
    • Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned projects and tasks.
    • Follow policies and procedures for change management and incident response.
    • Manage routing protocols (OSPF and BGP).
    • Implement and troubleshoot IPSEC VPN connections on equipment.
    • Must be self-starter and capable of working independently or with a team.


    Education - Experience & Skills Required

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with routing, switching, and VLANs.
    • At least 1 of the 4 items below:
      • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with firewalls (preferably Palo Alto).
      • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with wireless (preferably Aruba).
      • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Cisco ISE.
      • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with load balancers (preferably A10).
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
    • IAT level 2 certification (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
      • (CASP CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH exceed the requirement and are acceptable).
    • Must be willing to travel extensively (potential travel up to 75%).
    • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree desired but not required.
    • Security Clearance:
    • Must hold a current Secret Clearance.
