  • Position Summary

    As a result of continued growth, Avineon is seeking to add Sales Engineers to our team. Successful candidates will develop and market products/services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence federal customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs.. In addition, the Sales Engineer provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products/services.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    1. Researches customer needs and assists in the design of responsive products/services.
    2. Develops and delivers sales presentations and demonstrations to assist in closing sales.
    3. Participates in sales forecasting and planning.
    4. Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products, and termination of ineffective products.
    5. Manages technical aspects of working groups.
    6. Participates in the development and implementation of webinars, white papers, and similar marketing activities.
    7. Participates in the development of proposal methodologies and cost estimates.
    8. Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers.

    Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5 years of field sales experience or equivalent work experience.
    2. Current technical knowledge of government infrastructures and database applications.
